Meet our talented managers
Meet the manager and Owner
Hello! My name is Lianne Maltman and I am the Owner & Manager of Precious Play Days Preschool. Alongside running the preschool, I am also an Early Childhood Expert working for the Department for Education. As Area Lead, I oversee the covid recovery programme within multiple Boroughs of London: Barnet & Enfield.
Qualifications
I am currently studying to become a Doctor of Education with the Institute of Education at University College London. I have the following qualifications:
Master’s degree in Early Childhood Studies (London Metropolitan University)
1st Class Honours Degree in Early Years (Greenwich University)
NVQ Level 5 in Nursery Management
NVQ Level 3 in Child Development, Play and Learning
I have been running preschools in the West Watford area since 2013, together with my expert team, we have built an excellent reputation and have had consistently ‘good’ Ofsted reports since 2015. At our most recent Ofsted inspection we were found to be OUTSTANDING!
My role within the preschool is the ‘management’ role, whereas Peace takes on the ‘leadership’ role. I am the preschool dreamer, I think of the big ideas, and then Peace negotiates (usually by bringing me down a peg or two) to make those ideas a workable reality. My role is normally office based, however, currently I am working alongside Peace in the room to implement our new pedagogy. Which is incredibly exciting! I have really enjoyed being more ‘hands-on’, although I won’t outstay my welcome because the room is Peace’s domain. She has, rightly so, become the face of Precious Play Days.
Meet the manager and teacher
I can’t stress enough how incredibly lucky our children are to have Peace teaching them. Children in the UK are usually taught by a qualified teacher when they reach school age. Here at Precious Play Days they get a head start. Peace’s qualifications are as follows:
Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) equivalent to Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
BA Hons in Sociology and English
Languages
Peace can speak to families in Twi and English.
